St Louis, MO - On Wednesday, Mayor Francis G. Slay will cut the ribbon to the model unit at the South Side National Bank Building’s 6th Floor Condo. The building, opened in 1929, is considered a St. Louis landmark.
The renovation project calls for spending $6 million on the seven-story building which will see the tower converted into several market-rate condominiums expected to sell for approximately $200,000 each and the bottom two floors developed into commercial use with a parking lot adjacent to the building being resurfaced. The project is being done in two phases with phase one focusing on the commercial space and establishing the model condo unit. Preconstruction sales for the remaining condo space are expected to begin shortly.
The mayor will be assisted by Alderwoman Jennifer Florida. The South Side National Bank Building is located on the corner of Gravois & Grand. Ribbon cutting ceremony will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006 4:00 p.m.
