ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Cardinals were informed today by Major League Baseball that the FOX Television Network has exercised its contractual right to change the start time for this Saturday's (September 30) game with the Milwaukee Brewers to 12:25 p.m. CDT. The game was scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. CDT and appears that way on most pre-published schedules and tickets.
Because of the decision by FOX to include the Cardinals-Brewers game as part of its national telecast, CW11-TV (Channel 11) will not televise the game. The game will now be televised locally on KTVI-TV (Channel 2).
Per its contract with Major League Baseball, FOX has the right to make its game selections for the final Saturday just five days in advance.
The Cardinals ask that you please inform your readers/viewers/listeners of this time change - with multiple mentions - in order that we get this information out to as many people as possible who are holding tickets for Saturday's game. The Cardinals have sold over 43,000 tickets for Saturday's game, however there are approximately 1,500 standing room tickets still available.
