St Louis, MO - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed forward Denis Pederson to a one-year contract.
Pederson, 31, has played in 435 NHL contests, recording 128 points (57 goals, 71 assists) along with 398 penalty minutes. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by New Jersey in the first round, 13th overall in the 1993 Entry Draft. The Blues currently have 31 players on their roster.
The Blues will open the regular season on the west coast on Thursday, Oct. 5 at San Jose. The club will then play on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Los Angeles and Monday, Oct. 9 at Anaheim. The Blues will play their home opener on Thursday, Oct. 12 vs. Boston.
